How to find your TrueSelf, is a big topic, and honestly, it’s probably a mountaintop very few will ever climb in a lifetime. Here’s Why? We’re human. The good news you’re not alone because we’re all HUMAN. 😇

Every one of us will have challenges, struggles, and pain. Yet, through these trying times, your SoulSelf evolves, allowing you to experience life in fresh, new ways. Here’s the rub, when your personality is unhealthy and unbalanced, these times linger on. For me, it took a 7-year life tsunami to get me back on track. I know you’re probably thinking, WHAT 7 years? But we forget that many of these inherited negative habits and beliefs have been conditioned into us since childhood, deeply embedded. It takes time, understanding, and realizations to remove the sabotaging and negative characteristics that no longer serve us. Note: Your path will be different from mine.

There is nothing in your exterior experience that did not originate within you.

Wandering the Path of Spirituality To Find My TrueSelf

My spiritual journey started when I was around 11, eavesdropping in on my mother’s phone calls with her sisters, Lillian and Estelle. After Aunt Estelle had passed, my mom would continue speaking to her like she was on the phone. After witnessing this many times, my curiosity got the best of me, so I asked, “Mom, how could you be talking with Aunt Estelle when she’s in heaven?” My mom looked at me and said, “Honey, just because Aunt Estelle passed on doesn’t mean she can’t communicate.” From that day forward, I began seeking answers to the unseen aspects of life.

Since my early teens, I’ve been wandering the path of spirituality. My curiosity and drive to seek answers about the unseen led me to a year-long spiritual retreat to learn about myself and my place in the world. During the retreat, an idea began to take shape. With the encouragement of Dr. June Lee Nix, a spiritual psychologist, and my mentor, I floated the idea of adding a spiritual understanding to personality typing. She loved it, which encouraged me to pursue the idea.

I was also led to work as a freelancer for the Edgar Cayce Foundation and attended seminars hosted by Deepak ChopraDr.Wayne Dyer, and Dr. Christiane Northrup. Today, my spiritual book collection is teetering on 100 plus reads – on the shelf, Carl Jung, Myers-Briggs®, Marianne Williamson, Louise Hay, Neal Donald Walsch, Tosha Silver, Mark Nepro, Seth books, and many others.

Why My Spiritual Practices Were Not Working

If You Don’t Understand Your Thoughts and Emotions, all the Positive Thinking in the World Won’t Help You Overcome Challenges and Struggles.

Nina Zapala

Even after decades of attending spiritual conferences, enrolling in masterclasses, and reading tons of books, something in me was unsettled. I felt drained and powerless. That nagging feeling kept growing. I kept asking myself, what’s missing?

During my challenging time of change, my soul’s voice said, ‘align your personality to your soul’s intentions; this will help you gain clarity and reconnect with your SoulSelf.‘ I thought, ok, my life is already a big, fat struggle, what do I have to lose. What I ended up learning through my 7-year life tsunami is alignment is key to getting on your personal path of true power, passion, and purpose. Without alignment, you won’t come into your TrueSelf, the truth of who you are.

Please understand this it’s critical. If you don’t know your personality and how you function in the world, all of the positive thinking, meditations, journaling aren’t the magical bandaid you believe them to be. Each personality must find his/her way of dealing with challenges, which are always lead by your soul intentions to evolve and create you anew.

Here’s What I Learned About My True Self

You Are a Creator Translating your Expectations in Physical Form

Jane Robers, A Seth Book

Being a Curious Type, an ENTP, it’s my nature to look for opportunities and possibilities. I had to find the answer to the burning questions that had been nagging at me for so many years. I was Divinely lead to the world of personality typing, reading every book I could get my hands on. Heck, I even spend thousands of dollars on becoming a certified Myers-Briggs practitioner. I couldn’t get enough.

Here’s what I learned. Our traits greatly influence our actions every day. Traits are indicators that let your know how you’ll respond in any given situation. Many of you are familiar with your Myers-Briggs® type, your four-letter archetypes. Mine, for example, is an ENTP, extroverted, intuitive, thinking perceiving type. Believe me, when I tell you this, these four letters are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to understanding your personality through a spiritual lens.

Here’s what I believe. I believe we are born with a pure, egoless, and love-based personality. As we grow from childhood into adulthood, our personalities became layered in false truths. Inherited beliefs are conditioned into us by our parents, teachers, peers, and society.

Can you begin to see why it took me 7 years to unspool the layers of conditioning that I thought was mine? My pleaser self, was buried so deep I didn’t even realize how lost I was because I kept saying yes, when I really wanted to say no.

How To Find Your TrueSelf Starts With Three Steps

– It’s essential to understand your personality type beyond the four-letter persona. What I know is most people know more about their smartphones than they do their personality; I want to change this,

– Once you begin to know your personality you can start to identify spiritual practices that work in tandem with your type; it could be meditation or journalling or for some exercise, baking, painting, or music we all express our spiritual selves in different ways; be OK with your way,

– When a person or situation triggers you, it’s a sign that your personality is out of alignment. This is an ideal time to pause and not react. It’s hard, but if you start practicing this, you will give yourself space to understand the trigger itself instead of reacting, blaming, feeling guilt, or shame. Pausing gives you the grace to grow.

Recap: How To Find Your TrueSelf Starts With These Three Steps

– We are human, so getting to know your TrueSelf, 100% probably won’t happen in this lifetime, but if you get anywhere near 70%, you will find your passion, purpose, and joy,

– Wandering the path of spirituality and feeling like you are still stuck? What I learned is I had to really know my personality before I could identify the right spiritual path for me,

As we grow from childhood into adulthood, our personalities became layered in false truths. This is the task of life to unspool the false truths,

How to find your TrueSelf starts with these three steps; know your personality type, which leads to correctly identify the ideal spiritual practices, and use triggers as transformation tools.
